It aims to contribute to the development of Shibuya as a world-leading hub for in-ternational business exchange through the creation of large hall and conference facilities, international-stand-ard accommodation and residential facilities, and facilities to support industrial development based on public-private partnerships, all of which are currently lacking in the Shibuya area. The project will also en-compass the reconstruction and redevelopment of the area’s Miyamasu Mitake Shrine, thereby sustaining the neighborhood’s culture for future generations. To encourage foreign tourists visiting Japan to explore Shibuya on foot, it also offers luggage storage and other services. This large complex that has opened in the area leading from Shibuya Station’s East Exit to Aoyama features commercial facilities on floors 1 to 4 and offices on floors 5 to 23. Based on the concept of “TSUNA-GI-BA”— a place of connection—this building will gen-erate fresh vibrancy in the area around the East Exit of Shibuya Station by leveraging its links to Shibuya 2-chome’s dining zone and Aoyama’s cultural and edu-cation district. We have also developed plazas to serve as gate-ways to both the Shibuya Station and Aoyama dis-tricts, to link the complex to the pedestrian network in the vicinity of Shibuya Station’s East Exit and provide spaces where people can gather.
