In March 2025, we began construction work at Chidoricho- Station on the Ikegami Line. Station refurbishment waste reuse projectIn an effort to achieve a recycling-based society, we are promoting the Station Timber for All Project, which facilitates the reuse of old timber salvaged from sta-tion buildings. In addition, we have partnered with timber recycling specialist the Kozai Biyori Group on an initiative in which old timber salvaged from station buildings is being sold under the brand name Station Wood. We intend to continue our recycling efforts by utilizing old timber gen-erated by construction work as part of our cur-rent “Kininaru Renewal” project at Chidoricho- Sta-tion on the Ikegami Line, including by using it for workshops. In December 2021, we partnered with BOOKOFF GROUP HOLDINGS and BOOKOFF CORPORATION LTD. to launch a field trial aimed at promoting recy-cling-based urban development in which nothing gets thrown away. Lost property found at Tokyu line sta-tions, in trains and at other railway facilities becomes the property of Tokyu Railways if still unclaimed after the statutory storage period. Under this trial, Tokyu Railways placed such items back on the market as re-cycled goods via BOOKOFF stores both within Japan and overseas. As we have put in place the necessary operational setup and the trial proved somewhat ef-fective, we embarked on the full-scale launch of this initiative in April 2023.In cooperation with Unilever Ja-pan Customer Marketing’s UMILE Program, we have installed boxes for collecting used plastic pack-aging from Unilever products at Minami-Machida Grandberry Park and Tama-plaza stations. Since we embarked on this initiative in March 2022, the cooperation of a great many customers has resulted in a total of 54 kg of packaging being collected. In an effort to achieve a carbon-neutral, recy-cling-based society, we operate all Tokyu lines and stations entirely on electricity from renewable energy sources with net zero CO2 emissions. As our railway business accounts for around 30% of annual CO2 emis-sions by the Tokyu Group, achieving carbon neutrality in this area represents a major step toward the Tokyu Group’s target of net zero CO2 emissions across the entire Group by 2050. To ensure this leads to a modal shift, we will continue pursuing increased convenience in rail transport, as well as actively encouraging be-havioral change on the part of passengers.Since March 2018, we have introduced the 2020 se-ries carriages to the Den-en-toshi Line, the 6020 series -to the Omachi Line, and the 3020 series to the Meguro Line. In FY2025, we will progressively introduce five-car 6020 series sets on services stopping at all sta--tions on the Oimachi Line. Equipped with nanoe* air purifiers and high back seats, these carriages ensure onboard comfort and peace of mind for passengers. This project’s objective is to deliver urban development that centers trees and humans, by providing oppor-tunities for people to learn about, participate in, and support various things that benefit trees in the Tokyu area. In doing so, it aims to enable everyone to make a greater contribution to the circulation of forestry re-sources, starting with simple actions. Focused on the four areas of timber use, regional revitalization, social implementation creating shared value, and fostering community, the project seeks to promote its work based on collab-oration with a va-riety of co-crea-tion partners and people living in the Tokyu area.“Kininaru Renewal” Through our “Kininaru Renewal” projects, which make Timber salvaged from old station buildings used in the interior decor at Park CoffeeA collection box made by recycling Tokyu Railways uniforms that were due to be discarded8
