As such, July 2021 saw the opening of Hikarie Deck, a pedes-trian deck running parallel to Miyamasuzaka, which has enhanced the pedestrian network in the vicinity of Shibuya Station’s East Exit.In addition to rental apartments promoting diverse residential styles in the city center, shared office spaces, and a new hub for creative activities, there is also an outdoor public square and common areas where residents can gather and interact. This pro-vides a space for group leisure activities that enhanc-es connections among people who play, work and live here.Passers-by and other users can be stimulated by encounters with a variety of cultures and values in the multitude of shared spaces, including the out-door public square, multipurpose space, and cafes. Meanwhile, the inspiring initiatives implemented in the semi-public areas attract people with diverse values, thereby forming a hub for the in-tersection of cre-ativity that will help to establish Entertainment City SHIBUYA as the center of global attention.The leading project in the redevelopment of the Shibuya Station area, this high-rise building complex with 34 above-ground floors and 4 basement floors stands on the site that formerly housed the Tokyu Bunkakaikan theater complex and planetarium, which could be described as part of our DNA. Based on the concept “Life is Entertainment,” it has become a new culture promotion hub equipped with a theater and other cultural facilities, along with a shopping area and offices. The upper floors house high-grade office fa-cilities that attract the next generation of leading companies.
