We will continue to pursue compre-hensive development across the MIDORI PARK area.>> Commercial businessSince 2015, we have been operating the Hikari com-mercial facility, located in the heart of the new city adja-cent to the Binh Duong provincial government building. September 2022 saw the opening of an extension to the facility. Aiming to achieve sustainable urban devel-opment in Binh Duong New City, we are introducing a variety of eco-friendly measures, including composting, aquaponics, and solar power generation. In July 2023, we opened SORA gardens SC, the first shopping mall in Binh Duong New City. A number of Japanese tenants have opened outlets in the mall, where visitors can enjoy shopping, dining, and enter-tainment. Tapping into the know-how we have gained by running commercial facilities in Japan, we have introduced such features as breastfeeding rooms and children’s toilets, so that customers with children can feel comfortable visiting the mall.>> Bus businessBECAMEX TOKYU BUS CO., LTD., a wholly-owned subsidiary of BECAMEX TOKYU, began operating the KAZE SHUTTLE between Binh Duong New City and the center of Thu Dau Mot City in 2014. In 2016, BECAMEX TOKYU BUS began adding circular routes within Binh Duong New City and now operates 11 bus services on seven routes, along with a route for local citizens that links the city center with a nearby shopping mall. Our aim is to consolidate a new transportation system that taps into Japanese know-how regarding such matters as punctual operation; the introduction of safe, comfort-able vehicles; and polite customer service. By tapping into our know-how from Tokyu Tama Den-en-toshi to promote urban development integrat-ed with public transportation, we will contribute to the growth of Binh Duong New City. Furthermore, we are engaged in pioneering efforts to promote a modal shift from a motorbike-centered society where traffic con-gestion in downtown areas is an increasingly severe problem to a society that uses public transportation. In October 2022, we con-ducted Vietnam’s first autonomous driving pi-lot trial on public roads, and aim to use the data gained through this to solve urban and transport issues.KAZE SHUTTLE>> Other urban developmentWe hold a variety of events in Binh Duong New City to promote cultural exchange with local people and contribute to the community. Taking the opportunity presented by an international soccer friendly held in 2013 to mark 40 years of friendship between Japan and Vietnam, we have held an ongoing series of events designed to promote goodwill through soccer. Under a partnership with Kawasaki Frontale, Vietnam’s first soc-cer school run by a J.League club opened its doors in 2021. We aim to contribute to the community through Soccer schoolsoccer by providing children with a place for education. In addition to developing buildings, we are de-voting our energies to fostering the intangible aspects of urban development, holding regular cultural events such as music events and a Japanese festival. In Binh Duong, where many foreign enterprises have established bases, Tokyu Corporation and Taiwanese-affili-ated supporters have established Viet Hoa International School. The school opened as a kindergarten and elementary school. Other ways in which we are helping to support foreign nationals living in Binh Duong and their families to enjoy extended stays there with peace of mind in-clude attracting Japanese medical clinics to establish practices there. Real estate business in Ho Chi Minh City and elsewhereFrom our project experience at Binh Duong New City, we are also developing property projects with local property developers in and around Vietnam’s larg-est city, Ho Chi Minh City. In 2017, we participated in the Moonlight Residences condominium project (535 units, completed in 2019), a joint venture with Hung Thinh Corporation in the northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. In 2022, we partnered with Danh Khoi Group Joint Stock Company to launch a condominium business and plan to continue expanding our business in Ho Chi Minh City and elsewhere.Comprehensive property management businessIn partnership with Tokyu Community Corporation, which has one of Japan’s biggest property manage-ment portfolios, we established the comprehensive property management company TOKYU PM Vietnam CO., LTD. in 2019. As Vietnam undergoes rapid economic growth, we will contribute to the development of Vietnamese cities by managing various buildings and facilities from a long-term perspective and shaping useful, high-quality social stock.Viet Hoa International School39
