Australia•⦆Yanchep (housing development) (urban development)Thailand• Bangkok (condominiums)• Sri Racha (rental housing) Vietnam• Binh Duong Province (urban development)•⦆Ho Chi Minh City (condominiums) (property management) (rental office) Leveraging the expertise cultivated by the Tokyu Group over many years of development along railway lines, we are involved in urban development projects in 3 countries: Vietnam, Thailand, and Australia.Development OverseasUrban Development Projects in Binh Duong ProvinceLocated about 30 km to the north of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong Province is an area where many Japanese and other overseas-affiliated companies have expand-ed into industrial parks and where further development is expected. In 2012 we established Becamex Tokyu, a joint venture with the Vietnamese company Becamex IDC, and promoted the development of Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City, a residential and commercial area within Binh Duong New City (approx.1,000 ha), the larg-est urban development project in Vietnam to be man-aged by a Japanese company.>> Housing Projects Becamex Tokyu offers comfortable, high-quality housing within Binh Duong New City. In 2015, we completed our first condominium pro-ject, SORA gardens I (406 units), bringing to fruition the garden element of its devel-opment concept with a roof-top garden and green walls, while taking meticulous care to provide Japanese stand-ards of quality in such areas as the quality of construction work and its security system. The project received the Minister of Land, Infrastruc-ture, Transport and Tourism’s Award in the construction project category of the 2nd JAPAN Construction Inter-national Award, which was organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). The award recognized the project’s delivery of high-quality real estate tailored to the local climate and culture, and its adherence to technology transfer and quality control conducted on the ground by Japanese citizens.In 2016, construction began on the MIDORI PARK area development project, which offers residents a safe, reassuring, high-quality housing environment such as pedestrian-only pathways and town security. With green spaces accounting for 56% of the total site area, we are also paying considerable attention to the planting program, to ensure that residents can enjoy a variety of colorful plants in every season. The area development of MIDORI PARK continues, after 2017’s phase-one sales of HARUKA Residence and HARUKA Terrace low-rise housing (68 units) followed by completion and the launch of handover for our second condominium project, MIDORI PARK The VIEW (604 units) in December 2019.We will continue to undertake develop-ment aimed at creating the best neighborhood to bring up children in Vietnam, offering both a rich natural environment and peace of mind. BECAMEX TOKYU CO., LTD. and Mitsub-ishi Estate Residence Co., Ltd. established the joint venture BTMJR Investment Limited Company, which began work on the SORA gardens II (about 557 units) condominium project in April 2019. Business in VietnamIncreases in Vietnam’s GDP growth rate and working-age population, along with the country’s stable government and moderate, pro-Japanese national character give grounds to expect that its steady economic growth will con-tinue.
