TOKYU CORPORATION2020-2021

Development and operation of commercial premises near stationsWe are moving forward with the development and op-eration of commercial premises near stations, with a primary focus on major stations in the Tokyu area. Our shopping centers, which include Tama Plaza Terrace, Musashi-Kosugi Tokyu Square, and Aobadai Tokyu Square, are operated by our consolidated subsidiary Tokyu Malls Development Corp. SHIBUYA 109 is op-erated by Shibuya 109 Entertainment Corp.Effective use of railway landIn developing stations and the areas around them, we are endeavoring to make use of the tops of railway fa-cilities and the land on which they stand, to make the Tokyu area more appealing. In April 2015, we opened Log Road Daikanyama on what was formerly a sec-tion of the To-yoko Line between Shibuya and Dai-kanyama. It has been reborn as a new kind of com-mercial space surrounded by flowers and greenery, offering a place where people can savor wonderfully fresh air, despite being in the heart of the metropolis. Trainchi Jiyugaoka reopened for business in August 2017, following a renovation. A wide range of trees and plants adorn the entrance and central courtyard, and six highly distinctive new stores have opened, offering products tailored to the individual tastes and lifestyles of a diverse array of customers.Use of areas under elevated tracksWe are making progress with efforts to make effective use of areas under elevated railway tracks. As well as seeking to attract unique eateries to the Gakugei-dai-gaku and Toritsu-daigaku station areas, we are using these areas to offer services needed by the neigh-borhood, such as nursery schools. We also opened Nakameguro Koukashita (Naka-meguro Station) in partnership with Tokyo Metro in November 2016, and Ikegamisen Gotanda Koukashita between Gotanda and O-sakihiroko-ji stations on the Ikegami Line in March 2018. We will continue to move forward with the development of facilities under our tracks, includ-ing the opening of Shin-maruko Station—Musashi-ko-sugi Station Koukashita Stores in June 2019.etomoetomo is the brand name of a new kind of communi-ty-style commercial premises directly linked to sta-tions. The goal of etomo is to create the lively atmos-phere of a station and extend this to the surrounding district through the integrated operation of stores that were previously managed individually. We currently have 12 etomo facilities, having opened etomo Miz-onokuchi in December 2019 and etomo Tsunashima in March 2020. We will continue to expand etomo, tailoring each facility to the distinctive features of the adjacent station.
