How to use the ticket vending machines

How to purchase Commuter Passes (PASMO and magnetic passes)

Commuter passes can be purchased from ticket machines with a blue sticker attached to them. (They cannot be purchased from other ticket machines.)
Please note that there are restrictions concerning the times when commuter passes are sold through the ticket machines at some stations. For further details, please see this link.

● In the following cases, please use the commuter pass sales window.
If you require a new student commuter pass or if you require a student commuter pass with an expiry date after April 30 (please bring student ID such as the student commuter certificate issued by your school)
If you wish to use Tokyu Group gift vouchers to pay for your pass
If you require a refund on your pass or wish to change the zone within which your pass is valid
(1) Please touch the “Commuter Pass” button on the touch panel.

If you wish to purchase a “Child” commuter pass, please let a staff member know.
(2) On the touch panel, please touch the “Commuter Pass” button.

If you require a new commuter pass, please touch the “New” button.

If you wish to purchase a commuter pass for the same zone as the one that you already have, please touch the “Renewal” button.
If your existing commuter pass is a magnetic one, please go to step (6). If it is a PASMO commuter pass, please go to step (8).
(4) Please select the boarding station, the name of the company running the line with the station at which you wish to alight, and the alighting station.

Depending on the commuter pass that you require, you may need to select the route.

(5) Please touch the “Adult” button.

If you wish to purchase a “Child” commuter pass, please let a staff member know.

(6) Please select the type of commuter pass that you require (PASMO or magnetic commuter pass).



(7) After agreeing to the recording of your personal information, please enter your name, sex, date of birth and phone number.

The “Personal information record confirmation screen” will be shown in the following circumstances.
If you purchase a new commuter pass
When renewing your commuter pass, if you wish to change from a magnetic to a PASMO commuter pass
If you wish to change your existing PASMO card from an open PASMO to a PASMO commuter pass

(8) Please select the validity period.

(9) Please select the date on which you wish to start using the pass.

This will not be shown if you are renewing your existing commuter pass.




(10) Please confirm the information that you have entered and then touch the confirmation button.

Please pay by cash or credit card (TOP&, DC, Visa, MasterCard). Your commuter pass will then be issued.
If you purchase your pass by credit card, you will be required to enter your four-digit PIN.
If you have purchased your pass by credit card, please ensure that you take home the statement that will be printed after your pass is issued.

If you require a receipt, please touch the “Receipt Button” before taking your ticket from the machine.
